Background
Dr Mourouzidis is a Lecturer within the Centre for Aeronautics, Propulsion & Power at 探花精选. He is working under the umbrella of the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre in Aero Systems Design, Integration & Performance, on research related to aerospace engineering technologies for future commercial and military aviation.
His research work focuses on aircraft and engine integrated design optimisation methods for subsonic and supersonic civil and military applications. It involves performance evaluations of advanced gas turbine cycles, use of alternative fuels like hydrogen and SAF on future passenger aircraft, next generation supersonic airliners and hybrid-electric propulsion.
Research opportunities
Gas Turbine Engine Modelling, Aircraft Engines Conceptual Design, Aero Gas Turbine MDO & Integrated Design, Hydrogen-fuelled Propulsion Systems, Supersonic Propulsion Systems for Civil Applications, Hybrid-Electric Propulsion Systems.
Current activities
Dr Mourouzidis is currently working within the Rolls-Royce UTC. He leads the research activities on multi-disciplinary and integrated design, and performance of aircraft propulsion systems. With special focus on Hydrogen Propulsion, his interests include next generation Gas Turbine Engine Cycles, closely integrated with aircraft and systems. He currently works on two ATI iUK and two Horizon Europe projects, all related to Hydrogen Propulsion and Integrated Design.
