A specialised short course on emerging trends in Photovoltaics (PV), tailored for industrialists and scholars alike, looking at where PV is going and how it will contribute to achieving a Net Zero Strategy.
This course looks at: where PV is now, innovative and cutting-edge research areas (such as space-based solar, floating PV, agrivoltaics, third generation PV technologies and the use of PV in the generation of hydrogen), grid management for high PV penetration and the socio-economic and environmental aspects of using PV.

Course structure
Course is 2-day (face-to-face) with:
- Lectures given by experts in the field
- 2 hours devoted to lab/site visit (to see HyWaves green hydrogen facility () and Floating-PV Demonstrations in 探花精选’s 60,000 litre wave tank )
What you will learn
This 2-day course will fast-track your knowledge of where traditional PV systems are heading to, providing opportunities to progress both your business and your own career. It brings together: novel ways of deploying PV panels beyond traditional uses, combining innovative and cutting-edge applications with new business opportunities (such as floating solar, agrivoltaics, green hydrogen generation, space-based solar cell deployment and energy transfer to earth), grid management of and the socio-economic and environmental aspects of new applications of PV. You will also visit current research facilities in this cutting-edge field.Core content
